The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is an architectural landmark in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The basilica, founded and still staffed by the Redemptorists, is a Roman Catholic parish church of the Diocese of Brooklyn. It is dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and serves as a pro-cathedral. The architect was Franz Joseph Untersee of Boston.
In 2012, Regina Opera moved to a wonderful new home, the auditorium of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Catholic Academy of Brooklyn, at 5902 Sixth Avenue between 59th and 60th Streets in Brooklyn. The theatre has over 400 comfortable, upholstered seats, the stage is larger, and the public areas and restrooms are well maintained. It is also wheelchair-accessibleand convenient to public transportation, with a number of bus and subway stops nearby. And only a block away, you’ll find the vibrant “Main Street” of Sunset Park: Fifth Avenue, with its many restaurants and shops.
