One of America’s most beautiful operas was deflated by the historic 1906-1910 feud between Oscar Hammerstein I and The Metropolitan Opera Company. Soprano Sarah Caldwell Smith,  Soprano Vira Slywotzky, Tenor Daniel Greenwood, and pianist William Hicks join Artistic Director Alyce Mott for a taste of both the  beauty and intrigue of America’s first grand opera.
